The energies of acceleration are still upon us and many of us are feeling the affects. We all know of someone who is really struggling right now. I'm hearing of people becoming ill, in all manner of ways and of all ages. Recently it has been children in my particular circle that have been falling ill with serious and long term conditions. Perhaps it's my age but sickness seems to be everywhere and I'm noticing it more and more.

There is something that we can all do to help and that is to ask for healing and assistance to be given to those we care about by the angels and realms of light. We cannot receive help if we don't ask and they can't interfere in our lives unless we invite them. Those are the rules.

For those people who are more spiritually advanced these continuing energies are causing leaps and bounds in development. Instead of having to work hard for knowledge they will find that they hold it within themselves and are naturally drawn to subjects that will enhance their progression.

I've been giving private readings recently and have been pleased with the feedback I've received. I'm working at soul level and so the readings are very pure and honest. The information given may be too unusual for some people, particularly if they are looking for spirit contact and nothing else because that is not where I work. I like to include spirit people in my readings but they are not essential for information of a healing nature or for spiritual progression. 

The trouble (and charm) with spirit people is that they still hold their opinions of how life should be lived and they still have their character with their likes and dislikes. Just because a person is in the spirit world does not mean that they suddenly know everything and can see far into the future. They have a limited range of knowledge, to match that of their spiritual development, and do not have access to everything and anything. They may be in tune with your emotions and current situations around you and can dispense advice but only as a living person can with perhaps some added insight.

If you imagine the earth as seen from space. A beautiful blue orb floating in the blackness. Then imagine the earth being completely shrouded in cloud cover. The cloud cover represents the spirit world. The place where ordinary people go. Those with no spiritual development. Those with misplaced devotion or no thoughts either way about heaven and hell. Those who expect to go to heaven but don't know what it will be like. Those who have reached the end of their life and are ready to meet their loved ones who have gone before them. Heaven is for everyone and each person makes it their own with their expectations and imaginings. It is a reflection of this world and can be remarkably the same in structure, architecture and daily life. However, there are higher realms and to reach them the mind must desire a higher life. A higher way of thinking and behaving and believing and that is what spiritual development is. It's not seeing dead people, ghost hunting or sitting in circles waiting for ectoplasm to appear. That is spirit exploration and there is nothing wrong with it.

Spiritual development is the learning of how to think. How to love and to give compassion no matter what the situation. To be understanding and to wish for knowledge. It is to be humanitarian, considerate, joyful and thankful and it sounds much easier to do than it actually is in practise.

It is to put your own desires aside and wish only for the highest good for all concerned. It is selfless, egoless but it is also rewarding, calming and fascinating to experience.

It takes many incarnations to reach enlightenment and we must remember that everyone is taking their own journey, at their own pace. We are all part of a team, no-one travels alone, and remembering that others depend on your decisions often makes it easier to make the right one.

To ascend to the light realms we must travel through the spirit heavens to reach clarity and the realm of the spirit guides and helpers. Beyond that are more guides and teachers until eventually the God head is reached. 

If you want absolute truth then the light beings beyond the spirit world must be accessed. That's the  easy part! just ask! 

 

It's not the end of the World...

Did you believe that the world would end in December 2012?
Many people did and made no secret of it, gathering supplies should the worst happen, arming themselves and openly voicing their predictions of what was to come to our planet and its occupants.

You may have noticed that I did not make any such predictions. Also you may not have cared either way, not believing any of the hype that surrounded the ending of the Mayan calendar.

Loving, caring universal beings will not let anything happen to our planet. The earth is such an important entity within the universe that its physical destruction will be prevented by any means  possible. That's not to say that there have not been enormous shifts in energy both for the populous and the planet.

I'm confident that you will have heard of many people during the last 18 months who are having a very bad time, either through illness or situations surrounding them. These scenarios are being balanced by others who are being sorted out at last, with many long running illnesses, crisis, ways of thinking and unhealthy living conditions being improved and releasing those entrapped by them. I have certainly experienced both of these changes of energy around me.

The last 18 months have been a time of acceleration and cutting old ties and habits, but of union also. Take for example the scandal of Jimmy Saville in the UK. So many people have joined together to reveal the monstrous truth about his vile activities. His victims are brave and innocent and their light and willingness to inform us of his actions gives them strength both in spiritual terms and in their earthly bodies. In return his energy body is stripped as all love for him is withdrawn by those who carried affection for him, which will cause his spiritual body to wither and he many diminish completely for the spiritual body must have love to thrive and even exist in the light. Without it he will diminish into the shadows and become the sum of his emotions with his ugliness revealed for all to see. This applies not just to him of course, but to all souls who damage another fellow being.

Of course the higher spiritual beings and healing angels will already be aware of Jimmy Savilles' crimes against humanity and will have held him in isolation, particularly if he has no remorse. He must feel the full effect of the repercussions of the hatred and loathing sent to him to gain understanding of the magnitude of his actions. A soul can only learn this way, by the exchange of emotion, because the soul is pure energy of emotion of all kinds and it is all it understands. However vile the energy is, it must be received, tolerated by the soul that created it and truly experienced to be understood. 

The spirit of the soul, which is the part of the soul that is dispatched to earth in a physical body, experiences all kinds of life and scenarios. The spirit (or person as we would understand) can then choose how to react and it's true that some react negatively and find themselves shadow bound. All is not lost to them though, as light beings will always try to heal a darkened soul and will be persistent in that task. That is the truth of the fight between good and evil, the light and the darkness. Of course the light is more powerful but the soul/spirit still has choice to remain where they are or to progress and begin learning about themselves. 

Surprisingly I come into contact with plenty of people on the earth plane who are too frightened to look at themselves for fear that they are a bad person, or have done things that are undesirable in their view. No light being in the spirit world and beyond will judge a person. Their function (among others) is to heal and teach those of the lesser light to reach higher and to fill their souls with divine light. To dissolve the darkness they carry and to have remorse for others they may have hurt along the way. To heal the damage by learning about love and opening the heart to trust and knowledge. It may sound easy written here, but believe me, looking inside yourself is never easy. All kinds of memories and regrets can rear up and leave guilt and shame in their place. Even someone who appears to have had a good and kind life will find something about themselves to loathe.

Light beings of the highest order could never let anything untoward happen to our planet. Their job is to heal and protect us and our environment. They try hard to give us technology and right thinking so that we treat the earth with respect and this takes time because of the slowness of humanity and our passage of time compared to their swiftness of intellect and lack of time measurement as we know it. 

I can't help but question those who have predicted such drastic changes to the earth as to where they are getting their information. I have never received anything from those masters who surround me but a sense of immense love for earth and us upon it and the idea that they would never allow its destruction. That's not to say that there won't be changes, and not all change is accepted as good when the whole picture cannot be seen, but it is necessary.

Fire, flood and storms are what we witness each day as well as escalating war and conflict. All these are necessary and are contributing to the changing of our world in energy terms but they will not end it in a physical sense only change the energy of it and our perception of our existence.

It was interesting to me to read the predictions and advice given about the destruction of our planet but at no time did I feel worried because I knew that no matter what happened we would ultimately be alright. That is the comfort that knowledge of the spirit world and the life beyond gives me. I know that life goes on in another form and that we meet our loved ones, people we have admired on earth, that we learn and are loved in that other form. Death holds no fear for me, however that's not to say that I'm ready to go there yet. There are things I want to do and see, achieve and learn. My family needs me and I them. Going to the world of spirit is wonderful but only when it's your time. 

When I talk of the spirit world and the higher life beyond I phrase it that way for this reason; the spirit world exists close to the earth plane. If you imagine our earth coated with chocolate you could call the chocolate the spirit world. Now all the space around the earth and beyond into the universe and infinity is the higher life. There are many beings of light that live outside of the ether of the earth but there are those spirit people that still think physically and are not spiritually developed enough to understand that life exists elsewhere. Just because a person passes to the spirit world does not make them all knowing. They do not suddenly possess ultimate knowledge. They retain their character, they think in physical terms, they often create a house for themselves to live in or speak of being in the pub or meeting their family. They relate to us (via a medium) often in terms that mirror our life here on earth. 
(Some mediums never transcend the spirit world during their work and their mediumship will plateau at the stage of bringing through spirit people and animals. Their readings may be good and accurate but will retain the opinion of the spirit giving the communication and will not always be completely truthful regarding prophecies depending upon the way the medium works with their own guides and contacts. The readings don't usually contain the deeper content that commercial mediums also tend not to give and may appear more ordinary than one that would deal with healing issues and give spiritual guidance.)

Ultimately our world will continue to evolve just as we do and there will be good times and bad and different parts of the world will evolve at different rates as they always have. For those of us who live in peace and comfort we can help the less fortunate financially but also spiritually by praying for them and asking the angels to help them. Often violence is more visible than love but does not have the same power. Love works on the will of the person and links directly to their spirit whereas violence can only force and harm. Don't add to the violence with negative thinking, send loving thoughts to heal instead. 

The following words were written for me by a very special friend, he is only 12.

Across the sunlit valley.

Behind the shadow of the proud mountains.

Across the landscape across the world.

There used to be nothing there, my grandfather told me.

Just land, but he planted a sapling, a little small tiny one, he found up the mountain.

The proud mountains.

He planted it. He said it struggled to grow.

He cared and watered it, but it still struggled.

But as soon as the mountains no longer dimmed the sun and he saw the vibrant colours bouncing off the glazed leaves he knew it would grow.

And so it did.

Now I visit it, with a bed of roses and a blanket of sun the tall oak tree is not only special to him. But special to all of us.

The drops of sunlit water came from the mountain.

The mountain is not always an obstacle that will not let you grow.

can mediums help solve crime?

Well can they? I've been approached on a number of occasions by those affected by another's crime against someone they love or when someone has uncharacteristically gone missing. 

From my point of view it's much easier to work with the energy apparent before other mediums, dabblers and those with opinions. The fresher the energy the better for me.

The problem when others start poking about is that the energy becomes polluted and confusion sets in for anyone trying to reach the truth. Other problems are when the medium picks up on the wishes or beliefs of the person asking for help. For example if a parent is missing a child - no matter what their age - their hope will be that the child is alive and will be found. The medium then working with the energy has to decide between what they receive perhaps coming from the parent or the energy surrounding the victim/missing person. And that is not easy. Nor is working with distraught relatives who look to you to make their dream come true.

Even working through guides the medium's own thoughts will intrude and their own experiences and hopes can also influence what they receive. A good medium will be able to sift through the information objectively but it is a very hard thing to do when the desire to help is too strong. All information needs thinking about and collating carefully before passing to the relatives.

Another point to mention is that a medium or dabbler should only ever give information when invited to do so. It is a complete invasion of privacy to pass on details received to others without being asked for them and can cause more harm than good. (I add to this the same advice for giving healing uninvited and giving readings without being asked or telling anyone that they have spirit with them without their request. Do not do it!)

Sometimes it can seem very clear that you have something to give. You have had a vision or a vivid dream or have worked the cards (tarot perhaps) to glean knowledge about a case near to you or in the news. But beware, there are those spirits that would wish to distract you from the good work you should be doing and also to confuse the energies surrounding the case you wish to work with. Not all spirits have good at heart and not all interesting cases need your input. 

We have to take into account the existence of Karma with all things too. We can never look at events with just the physical eye, we need to address issues with a spiritual view point too and from different points of perspective. No situation is formed by one reason, one thought or just one action, many lives cross, many thoughts gather and many actions build to lead to the outcome.

Say for example that a man kills a woman. The statement is gruesome but simple but the facts do not end there. There is a complication to consider when examining the energy evidence and that is Karma. There will be reasons unknown to those not within the soul group of those affected by the killing. There will be an agreement and understanding of the souls of the victim and perpetrator but their physical selves will not remember that and nor will the members of their soul group. The offence will create anger and grief which adds to the energy pool so the task of the medium is to pick through valid senses and ignore those that don't feel genuine and could be the work of her own imagination and fears or that of others. A difficult job.

So what can the medium do to help the process? She/he must make sure their own mind is clear of negativity, clear of hopes or fears for the case, indifferent even to the outcome. Be clear about intention when working with the energy and not manipulate it to suit her own agenda. Make strong connections with guides and spirits helping with the investigation. By that I mean making the connection so strong that no interference can intrude, that communication with guides and spirit is exclusive. Question everything. Phrase questions carefully. Spend a limited amount of time when working so as not to become absorbed into the case too deeply, detachment is key.

So can a medium help? There are very few cases where they have genuinely helped to locate a body or solve a crime. Often the authorities don't like to admit to the fact that a medium has been used but it does happen. What seems to happen most often is that the medium will give some clues, locations, details etc., but nothing solid and the events will play out in time revealing details and truths as they go. If for instance it is the parents' Karma to lose a child and live their life in grief, then that is what will happen no matter who tries to solve the case. The universe works in ways that we don't always understand but our spirit and soul always have understanding and will find peace in the end.

When we are in our physical body and think in physical terms it is difficult to accept spiritual laws and occurrences that give us grief and pain and even though I work as a medium, I am no exception to that. The physical body enables us to feel these things that the spirit self cannot and it is invaluable to the soul. 

I see my role as a medium when helping people with loss of some kind to educate them about the spirit world and how the laws of spirit work to bring them comfort and acceptance of their situation. If I do make contact with the spirit of their loved one I will give honest information and only what the spirit bring, nothing of my own will be added because it wouldn't be truthful. An open heart is all that's needed and a desire to bring peace to others. The problem with many who try to help is that they want some kind of glory from it and that involves the ego, no good ever came from that.

There are those mediums that seem to specialise or be chosen to work in that field and have a measure of success but often such cases are left open ended and are difficult to solve by traditional means. The medium can be brought in through desperation and as a last resort rather than when the energy trail is fresh and of more use to the sensitive empath. Things are always as they should be no matter how horrible or painful and we must hold on to the fact that we are growing and learning all the time and everything we experience in the physical body is desired by the soul.

to all of you who regularly read my blog I must apologise for the recent slow activity. We have had a spate of family illness (always comes in three's doesn't it?) and so my attention has been elsewhere. an exercise in colour sensitivity

Colour means different things to different people, it is associated with mood, memory, time of year, occasion, well-being, emotion, atmosphere and of course the chakra system.

You can ask a person what the colour yellow means to them and they might say, the sun or summer but another person might say cowardice and yet another might say illness, sickness.

You can see how the experiences and memories of a person can affect the way they see the world and the colour within it. It's also worth remembering that some people are colourblind and see shades and tones rather than blocks of differing colours so the world looks very different to them. They will of course be able to see colour in the spirit world whilst their consciousness is in that place but for some reason they are denied it in the physical world of earth.

For you to connect to colour and its symbolism by yourself or in a group here is a simple exercise for you to try. . .

Collect some objects of different plain colours or you could make a bunch of ribbons or use your imagination if it's strong enough to hold the image for long enough for you to read it. You could use candles, flowers, paints, beads, anything that is easy for you to gather.

Next when it is quiet and you won't be disturbed, sit and breathe until you feel peaceful. There is no special technique for this but if your mind is particularly busy try to imagine a waterfall or a gentle stream where the intruding thoughts can flow away from you leaving your mind free to do other things for a while.

When you are ready select a colour to work with, study the colour and the tone or shade you have chosen. Then allow the meaning of the colour to come to you. For example let's look at blue. The tone of blue is rich, royal blue. What does that mean to you? How does the colour make you feel? Calm perhaps, safe or a memory surfaces that has feelings attached to it that you can relate to royal blue?

Does it remind you of deep water and if so what emotions do you feel? Perhaps it reminds you of someone's eyes from the past. Focus on the emotions attached to that memory. Is blue always male, naval or conformation? 

Spiritually speaking such a blue is often connected to the power of healing and spiritual presence but you may have a different view. It's worth researching the standard meanings of colours and what they are associated with but ultimately your own inner connection with a colour is what will give you the information you can work with further when and if you want to read a person's aura, the choice of clothing colour, the vibration of a room's decor and so on.

Colour surrounds us both in our energy field and our earthly world and can tell us a lot about a person and their mood or state of mind. Because colour surrounds us it is easy to practise the meanings of it. Wherever you are you can question how a colour makes you feel, what it stands for in your life and how you react to its intensity.

For instance every colour has many grades of intensity so if we take the colour pink as an example we can see that a pale, delicate shade of pink could perhaps relate to a baby girl, gentle feminine energy, softness and kindness. Go to a much darker shade such as cerise and we feel a deeper kind of love, perhaps the love of a mother, it's still a feminine energy but stronger and holding more passion. To take the shade further and move to red it is easy to relate this to love, deep and real. It could also mean the life force, blood in the veins, the heart and circulatory system, anger, or a fiery temper but this comes down to your own experience and gut feeling when reading the colour particularly if it is in direct connection with a person.

Every individual is unique and so is their aura because it changes from moment to moment depending upon their thoughts and ideas. Practise using colour in your life by wearing colour, having colour around you and even thinking about colour and its traditional meaning opposed to how it makes you feel and how you interpret it.

A medium will use the skill of colour reading along with the other senses that the medium employs to gain information about a client or situation but will also use colour in visualisation when giving healing. During healing colour relates directly to the chakras of the energy body and sometimes restoring colour to the system is all that's needed to help a person back to well-being. 

Why not experiment with colour by visualising different colours, one at a time, in your own energy field to see how they affect you?

The philosophy of life is in the living. Doing good things that you enjoy to balance alongside the chores that must be done to function well.

In the spirit world there is no maintenance of the body or physical things like there is on earth so try to see your time here as an opportunity to get your hands dirty.

In spirit you are taught to take care of your energy body and soon it becomes second nature and you are able to go on to learn new skills. There are no worries, fears or dirty environments in spirit so earth is a difficult place to cope with for a pure spirit or one that has been in their energy body for a long time. Earth can seem like hell to them with its mix of peoples, bad energies, deep emotions and trials of life to endure. Of course life on earth also holds many joys.

You have choice. You can choose to be angry or you can choose to see the happiness around you - there is no simpler statement - but choice is the gift of intelligence and the soul.

The biggest thing that the soul has to learn and in turn the consciousness, is personal responsibility. This means that you take ownership of not only your actions but also your thoughts as negative ones are as damaging as any weapon but positive and loving ones are miracles in the ether.
